Today I wanted to scrap a cutiepie picture of my son. (No bias there, huh? LOL!) For some reason, it made me think of a rainbow, and then the trees and houses just went along with that vision. I used thin strips of scrap cardstock, folded them, and then unfurled them to create the rainbow. Check it out:
Also, remember these babies?
A RAK of two of these handmade fabric flowers are up for grabs. You need to get your comment in today or tomorrow, I'll announce the winner on Monday! Check it out here if you want in: http://byondbzr.blogspot.com/2010/01/turning-around-rainy-dreary-sunday.html

Pour on the bleach!
Why? Because it's easy, and the result is super cool! Pour bleach onto a piece of cardstock and allow it to sit undisturbed for at least 5 minutes. Use paper towels to absorb the excess bleach and allow your paper to thouroughly dry before using. Check out what I made using this technique, cool huh!

Turning around a rainy, dreary Sunday..
It's been raining all day here and is so drab and depressing. I really needed to break myself out of that funk and I reached for some fabric I picked up yesterday. It's 100% cotton, double napped, and oh so warm and inviting. I figured it would make for some beautiful flowers, so I set to work. I traced flower shapes onto the fabric and cut them out, then layered them with a cool lace flower ribbon from my stash and some pearl centers. The result, I think, it stunning. And oh yeah, they FEEL good too!
Pretty right? These are perfect for special photos that require a handmade touch. I used one on a layout of my great grandparents that I've been wanting to scrap for some time:
The cool thing about these, is that they can easily be custom colored with glimmer mist, or alcohol inks in a mini mister.Do you like them? If so, leave me a comment telling me of a special photo or project you would use them on. I'll randomly draw a winner on Monday, February 1st and RAK them a set of two!

It's time for a sneak peek!!
Have I got a peek for you! I have been hard at work designing with the February "Boy Wonder" project kit from Scrapbook Kit Club. Available on the first of the month, it is all boy, completely awesome, and I feel it's about time a kit like this was made! It can be difficult to scrap masculine projects, but this kit takes all the guess work out of it. You will get everything you need to create a radically cool mini album dedicated to your favorite fellow, or fellows! Here's a little sneaky-peaky, what do you think?
Isn't that cool! I happen to know the quantities on this kit are VERY limited, and many have already been reserved. If you want one, you should act quickly and reserve one of your own. Email Amber at scrapkits@yahoo.com today and stay tuned, there are more sneaks to come!

Having a creative day, and my Winter RAK pic...
Yesterday I was excited to receive a visit from my friendly mailman! He handed me my first kit from Scrapbook Kit Club. I LOVE this kit, which will be available in February. Today, I've started work with it, so today is a VERY good day indeed!
Also, I wanted to show you the winter RAK that I'm picking a winner for tomorrow. It was supposed to be a small RAK, but I got to pulling things and ended up with a fabulous embellie bag. Have a peek:
If you want a chance to win that bag of yumminess, remember to post a comment here:

Welcome to winter, and a RAK!
Well, 2010 has certainly started off cold and snowy for us here in Ohio. I LOVE that! Today we are in the grips of a storm that is supposed to dump 3-6". The snow began falling about an hour ago, and thankfully wasn't that bad as I had to pick Rylie up from preschool. I DO however, have to go to work tonight so I will have to venture out onto bad roads a little later. That doesn't really bother me, I am a very good winter weather driver. Now everyone else, on the other hand, tend to scare me! That said, I am sure I'll make it OK!
As I do love winter and snow so much, I have a few recent layouts to share:
I also have a small RAK of wintery embellishments up for grabs. All you have to do is leave me a comment here and tell me which one of my winter layouts you like best. I'll randomly draw for a winner next Wednesday, January 13. Good luck!
