As an avid scrapper, I am always on the lookout for new embellishments when shopping. Occasionally I find something spectacular, that isn't meant for scrapbooking. My latest find is a massive butterfly, found at Kroger's grocery store. This baby is beautiful, and comes on a wooden stake. I imagine it's intended for the garden, but why you would want to put it outside is beyond me. It is felt after all! The moment I saw it, I thought of an acrylic album I had in my stash. I knew it would really rock on the cover, IF it would fit!
Well, I bought it, brought it home, and found it to be just the right size for my album. The album is "Perfect postage", from My Acrylic Album. To get an idea of the size of this butterfly, the album it adorns is 8x8! Now THAT is a butterfly!!!

It is fantastic!!! I love it. Good thing that you found it at Kroger...if it was at a scrapbook store it would have cost 3 times as much!! =)
Yes it definitely would have! It was around $4 I think.... Very reasonable! I used glue dots to adhere it and it most certainly isn't going anywhere, LOL!
Fantabulous! Also, I wonder if you could give me some advice? I have not done an acryllic album, but have one. What is the best glue to use to adhere paper? Also, HOW did you do that effect? Acryllic paint, then crackle? Thanks!
soooooo BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!
I can see you shop with the eye of a scrapper:) Simply gorgeous mini!
