Printer's Tray, Halloween Style!

OK, so it isn't a "real" printer's tray. It was the tray a magnetic doll and all of it's dress pieces originally came in. It was at the Goodwill without any of the doll parts when my mom found it and picked it up. She then gave it to me, knowing I LOVE altering things like this. What a great mom, huh! I decided to make some Halloween decor with it. I began by painting it with a mixture of orange and terracotta paints.

Then I used Moxxie Midnight Dreary papers to fill in all the openings. I made a spiderweb of string and placed the "All Hallow's Eve" die cuts on top of that. A few glittery bat and tree embellishments finished off the piece. I love this and am very happy to add it to my Halloween decor!

This turned out so cool! My daughters have two sets of similar magnetic puzzles and this piece makes me want to dump the puzzles and steal the trays! I love the spider web! Thanks for the inspiration. =)

Very cool. I may have to go shopping with your mom! I think I have some spooky little doo-dads that would look great in a tray like that. TFS!
