Some paint play and a CHALLENGE for you!
I've been loving on the paint lately. I enjoy adding extra layers to my work with a few layers of different colored paints, like on this layout:
That is my son getting ready to throw a tantrum. He purses his lips, crosses his arms, and glares at me disgustedly before the screaming starts. LOL! I was so happy I caught this moment, as he has been doing this a lot lately. I think the paint and distressing really compliments his irritable mood.
Today, I just wanted to do something drastically different, so I painted a background on a cakeboard circle. I added a tree, made of distressed cardstock, and then some leather cord to anchor a picture of my son swinging. Overall, though I don't scrap in a "cutesy" style, I REALLY love how this gem turned out.
What do you think? Are you inspired to use some paint, to think outside the "scrap" box? Well, if so, I'm here to challenge you. All you have to do, is use some paint on a layout or project. Make it unique, make it all you. I'll give you until April 1st to get it done, and post a link to it here in the comments of this post. I'll then randomly draw a winner from the participants, and send them a nice RAK. How does that sound? Well, you better get paintin' huh? Have fun!

It's RAK-a-ganza time!
OK, OK, my play on words isn't the funniest, but it gets my point across! I have been cleaning, organizing, and purging my scrappy goods and I have quite a bit I no longer want or need. I know that one scrapper's trash is another's treasure, so I've decided to do some RAKing! Have a lookie at all of this stuff:
It's quite a mixed bag. There are flowers, ribbon, lace, brads, chipboard, and more. I stuffed these items into 4x7" mailers and I ended up with six:
Sooo, I have SIX RAKs to hand out. These aren't kits, so the contents of each envelope more than likey don't match very well, but I did try to get a little of each item into them. Are you interested? If so, just leave a comment here. I will draw names on Monday, February 15. Remember, there are SIX up for grabs so spread the word!

Happy news to share!!
Yes, I am a Magistical Memories Chipboard Artist! I can't tell you how excited I am right now...I can tell you that this is going to be an incredible and fun journey for me! As a texture and embellie junky this team is like a dream come true, and I cannot wait to get started!
