A green Christmas ornament

Christmas is on it's way, every year it seems to arrive more quickly than the last. I enjoy making my own ornaments and add several to my homemade collection each season. I have several empty Doodlebug sugar coating jars around, and was inspired to make an ornament with one.

I first filled the jar with flaked "glitter",which really looks like snow. I colored the lid with stream alcohol ink and also used it to color around some white snowflake and flourish rub ons. I let them dry for about thirty minutes before rubbing onto the jar. The effect is a bi-color rub on. The little tag is cut from a left over sheet of grungeboard, then colored with the alcohol ink before writing "Magic Christmas snow" on it. I removed the lid of the jar, tied the ribbon and fiber around the neck, and put the lid back on. This was so simple, and I can't wait to put this on my tree. I'm sure the lights will light up the glitter inside the jar!
