Turning around a rainy, dreary Sunday..

It's been raining all day here and is so drab and depressing. I really needed to break myself out of that funk and I reached for some fabric I picked up yesterday. It's 100% cotton, double napped, and oh so warm and inviting. I figured it would make for some beautiful flowers, so I set to work. I traced flower shapes onto the fabric and cut them out, then layered them with a cool lace flower ribbon from my stash and some pearl centers. The result, I think, it stunning. And oh yeah, they FEEL good too!

Pretty right? These are perfect for special photos that require a handmade touch. I used one on a layout of my great grandparents that I've been wanting to scrap for some time:

The cool thing about these, is that they can easily be custom colored with glimmer mist, or alcohol inks in a mini mister.Do you like them? If so, leave me a comment telling me of a special photo or project you would use them on. I'll randomly draw a winner on Monday, February 1st and RAK them a set of two!

These are so pretty. I have a photo of my parents that I would love to scrap using these flowers.
Today I made paper boxes, they turned out really cute. If you have time you can check them out of my blog. You might like to make some yourself.

I just got a picture of my Dad (who died when I was 10) with his Mom and brothers and sisters when he was about 10 years old. My Uncle had it restored recently and sent it out. I'm dying to scrap it but I need to get more info from my uncle first. These amazing handmade flowers would be perfect for this picture.

Oops! I forgot to tell you what layout I'd use them on...lol...that's what happens when I think something's pretty. I have a portrait of my daughter at two months old that they would look perfect on. I've been waiting for inspiration to hit before I scrap it and there's a blank page in her portrait album waiting for it!
