It's beach time!!!!

Summertime brings one of my favorite things: trips to the beach. My kids went to the beach with their dad several days ago, and were taped by a news crew that was reporting on SPF/sun protection. I DVR'd the news that night, and sure enough, my sweeties were on TV! I loved a shot of them feeding the seagulls, so I paused the scene I wanted and then photographed the TV. Although it was a bit pixelated, I managed to clean it up enough in Picasa to end up with a great picture. Of course I had to scrap it too!

RAK winner announcement!!

Well ladies, I have been having a tough few days with this head cold which I think may be a sinus infection instead. I've got an appointment with my doctor this afternoon, and I almost FORGOT to have Rylie pick a winner! I blame that on the fact that my head is just throbbing away!

SOOOOO, after all the names were typed up, cut out, and put in a jar Rylie picked the lucky winner......LAURA!!!!! Congrats Laura, send me your name and address and I'll get the Primalicious-ness out to you as soon as I get a chance to! byondbzr@yahoo.com

Thank you to all of you who didn't win this time, and stay tuned! (How is that for a hint, or tease perhaps, LOL!)

Now THAT'S a butterfly!!

As an avid scrapper, I am always on the lookout for new embellishments when shopping. Occasionally I find something spectacular, that isn't meant for scrapbooking. My latest find is a massive butterfly, found at Kroger's grocery store. This baby is beautiful, and comes on a wooden stake. I imagine it's intended for the garden, but why you would want to put it outside is beyond me. It is felt after all! The moment I saw it, I thought of an acrylic album I had in my stash. I knew it would really rock on the cover, IF it would fit!

Well, I bought it, brought it home, and found it to be just the right size for my album. The album is "Perfect postage", from My Acrylic Album. To get an idea of the size of this butterfly, the album it adorns is 8x8! Now THAT is a butterfly!!!

An alcohol ink kit and amazing photo tutorial to share!!

I was honored when my girl Krissy at Swirlydoos kit club asked me to build a tutorial using her April alcohol ink add-on kit! You know I love working with alcohol inks, and acrylic! If you've been wanting to try alcohol inks, but haven't known where to start, or which products to buy, then you NEED this kit. It has everything you need to work with the inks, and I have worked up an easy to follow photo tutorial to get your creativity flowing! Here's my project, I truly love how it turned out and it is something I will always treasure..

So, WHAT are you waiting for, hmmm? Get over to Swirlydoos to check out the tutorial and pick up a kit! Better hurry, quantities are limited!

Don't you HATE when this happens??

Life is hectic for all of us, I know, but occasionally I'll get this vision of a project or layout that just takes over. It won't go away, no matter how hard I try to ignore it. It's there, forcing itself upon me, and not letting me create anything else until I listen to it. Well, my most recent layout did this to me, bothering me for days before I finally gave in. I always have a fear, that my visions just won't translate properly to paper and glue. This one, I am around 95% happy with. I call that a success, because now it's out of my head, and I can move on! Have you ever experienced this??
